CORE SECTOR INFORMATION

Glass & Ceramic Frits
Project Design Basis

Sodium silicate is produced by melting silica sand and soda ash, cooling the melt into solid glass and, where required, dissolving it under pressure to produce liquid grades. Precipitated silica production adds controlled precipitation, filtration, washing, drying and product handling. Frits are melted compositions quenched into a non-crystalline fragmented material for ceramic, enamel, glass and glaze applications. GLINDCO integrates these process stages with the required material-handling and downstream systems.

For glass & ceramic frits, the project basis is refined around product specification, composition, production volume, forming route, quality requirements, raw materials, energy, operating capability and target market. These inputs determine the appropriate plant configuration, technology route and investment basis.

GLINDCO SCOPE

Integrated project responsibility
for Glass & Ceramic Frits.

GLINDCO can support an individual project stage or coordinate the complete development from feasibility and design basis through engineering, equipment integration, execution, commissioning and stable production.
